Sama is a global telecom company that connects the Middle East with the rest of the world. They partner with and provide connectivity to brands like Skype, At & T, Vodafone, Verizon, British Telecom etc… We worked with Sama to reimagine their brand identity to match their global ambition.
“Sama” is an arabic word that means “Sky”. We took this as a starting point to build a unique and memorable typographic identity that subtly hints at “Sky” and “Horizon”. Our goal was to create a bold, abstract identity rather than a literal representation. So we stayed away from any literal visualization of sky (clouds, sun etc…) and preferred to cleverly use negative space to show horizon.
