For a brand as unique as Tea Trunk, we wanted to avoid doing the cliched “natural products” shots – with leaves, warm wood backgrounds and out of focus cups. After talking to dozens of product photographers, we decided that we’d have to do the shoot ourselves to be able to realize our vision for the look of the brand.
So we dusted our studio lights and set up our own mini photo studio for this shoot. We started off with a clear mandate – the product had to be the hero and the photographs had to have a distinct aesthetic – something that would carry forward the visual language of the brand and set it apart from the dozens of tea brands in the market.
18 hours of shooting, 1000+ photographs and hundreds of hours of painstaking editing later, we had something we loved!
